How Do I Apply and Register for the Programs?
How to Apply
The first step is to fill out an application and pay a $50 application fee online.
Applications are due Sept 1, 2011 to be guaranteed review.
How to Register
Once you have been approved for the program:
Step 1: Make a tuition deposit of $500 by September 1, 2011 to secure your enrollment, and indicate your program choice:
BSc program in Integrative EcoSocial Design
MSc program concentrating in 8 Shields Cultural Mentoring, Regenerative Leadership, Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness, or design your own.
MSc program in Open Topic program in 8 Shields Cultural Mentoring, Regenerative Leadership, and Regenerative Design and Nature Awareness, or design your own.

Orientation Workshop
The orientation workshop fees are covered in your tuition, but you must register and pay for your meals and lodging during the orientation: $350 fee for meals and camp-site accommodations.

Pause Policy
Associates may choose to take a pause, or break, during their program, similar to a leave of absence many Universities offer. Pause months are designed to provide associates with the ability to manage their degree programs with greater ease and grace. If you become aware that you will not be able to devote sufficient attention to your program for a period of a month or more, you should consider inserting one or more pause months into your Gaia RDI program.
- $50 per month. One 1-hour session with an adviser per month, and retaining access to your online portfolio, peer support group, and more. Can be extended for up to 12 months.
Extension Policy
You can extend your program with full services for the same quarterly payments as normal. This option is available to associates who have used up all of their available 12 “on program” months but have not yet completed all of their output packets for their program year.
- $150 per month with full services. You can take up to 12 months of non-consecutive extension months for each year of your program.

Up to 2 weeks prior to orientation 50% refund
Up to 1 week prior to orientation 25% refund
First quarter tuition payment:
Up to orientation 100% refund
After Orientation
After after start of orientation: No refunds are given.
