Kerry Brady, MA, SEP, supports others in awakening to an embodied recognition of our essential nature and inherent place within the larger unfolding web of life. She emphasizes re-storying ourselves into the living Earth community to support the shift in consciousness needed to create a truly regenerative culture. In teaching people to listen deeply and respond proactively to Life’s continuous guidance, she supports others in discovering what within them uniquely wants to bloom. Drawing upon biologically based trauma work, she focuses on increasing our adaptive capacity as we navigate this extraordinary time of cultural and ecological transformation.
Kerry has over 25 years of experience in transformational modalities including non-dual wisdom approaches, psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, bodywork, nature-based retreats and vision quests. Through her own intimate knowing of what it is to let go into unchartered territory, she brings a distinctly grounded approach to guiding individuals and groups in moving with more ease and freedom into the mysteries of the unknown.
Kerry has served as faculty at Animas Valley Institute, Regenerative Design Institute and the California Institute of Integral Studies where she and Brian Swimme co-teach courses on living in participatory engagement within a living universe. Additionally, she is a facilitator at the Trauma Resource Institute and is currently integrating their Community Resilience Model with permaculture principles and practices to create programs supporting resilience in both the human and Earth communities. A retreat with Kerry is an opportunity to discover what your body already knows the way an acorn knows its potential destiny. It is no spiritual shortcut, but an authentic path of self discovery, which if truly followed, will lead you, ultimately, to confront what you most fear. It is not a new age pseudo-religion or a Native American appropriation. It is like un-school, a way to being to unlearn those deeply ingrained patterns which we practice to silence or drown out the voice of the cosmos within, the voice that calls us away from the TV and the computer, and into the living world. ~ G.M., California
I am in awe of Kerry’s skills that so delicately foster an unraveling of the rigidly patterned threads of daily life, leaving each of us in the group open to the possibility of…possibility. ~ E.A., Hawaii
Kerry embodies the qualities my favorite teachers have had: humility, transparency, deep wisdom in her area of specialty, sensitivity to the group’s needs, a mastery of language to share her ideas, and an obvious passion and love for the work she does. ~ D.T., California
Kerry is basically a shape-shifter, always surprising and delighting, often simply helping one to see where the doorways are, sometimes helping to open the heaviest of them, yet never getting in the way, never doing the actual work, always trusting no matter what the outcome, honest, authentic, human. ~ K.A., New Mexico
It is rare I give over fully to the guidance of another, but Kerry’s invitation and warmth is so compelling that I couldn’t resist. I so needed this – to give up control and just allow myself to be held by the nourishing and sustaining womb that she creates. Here, I was able to give over to the subtle, deepening of my relationship to the universe. ~ L.M., New York
