Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) campus is located on a beautiful 200-acre site just south of Petaluma California. For directions to IONS click here.

Various workshops and events are hosted at this beautiful facility. Certain classes of the Regenerative Design & Nature Awareness Program take place at this site for lessons and hands-on work designing and implementing permaculture and natural building projects.
So far we have designed and installed the following:

• kitchen vegetable and herb garden providing fresh organic produce to the IONS kitchen
• composting and worm bin system for kitchen and garden compost
• compost tea system for aerating and making compost tea
• solar photo voltaic panel for powering the pond pumps.
• series of flow forms for cleaning pond water
• small naturally clay sealed pond with flowforms
• larger pond with a pond liner for water harvesting
• rainwater harvesting system from a roof into a tank
• perennial fruit garden
• (Milk of Magnesia) magnesium oxide/aggregate exterior wall and 2 benches

• 2 arbors from sustainably harvested wood
• a cob bench
• native drought tolerant garden for a windbreak
• 12-station automatic drip irrigation system
• small temporary cold frames for starting seedlings
