Susanne Fischer-Rizzi
Susanne Fischer-Rizzi views herself as an apprentice and a messenger of nature, as facilitator between humans and the wilderness. With her work, she wants to help re-establish the cords between humans, animals and plants to foster the healing of not only of us but of nature as well.
Susanne Fischer-Rizzi is an alternative practitioner by profession. After studying philosophy and finishing her professional education, she apprenticed with several herbalists, as well as, male and female shamans in Germany and abroad. Her interest in medicinal plants, on one hand, and the subjects of humans, nature and healing on the other, led her on numerous journeys - mostly to Asia and North America. In these places she learned about ayurvedic, tibetian and native american medicine. From her teacher, the taoist Gia Fu Feng, she also learned about taoistic philosophy and it’s ways to connect with nature in a healing way. Beyond that, she has many years of experience concerning the ways of the Wise women.
In Germany, she is considered the pioneer of aromatherapy. For more than 30 years, she has shared her abundant knowledge and her experiences in workshops, educations and lectures with people in Germany and abroad. Currently, she focuses on teaching classes for medicinal plants, aromatherapy and wilderness knowledge at her own school called ARVEN. She has published 12 books about these subjects that have been translated into many languages.
Books published in English so far are:
