About the Permaculture Institute of Northern California
 | The Permaculture Institute of Northern California (PINC) is an educational organization promoting sustainable technologies and methodologies and drawing on the tools and teachings of permaculture design. Founded over 12 years ago, PINC has graduated more than 1500 students with permaculture design certificates in addition to offering a variety of other progrms including cob construction, beekeeping, natural plasters, dowsing, nature awareness and more. |

Mission of the Eight Shields Institute:
Providing media, teaching and consulting strategies for the gathering and applying wisdom of human experience and natural systems to restore and invigorate the earth and its people for the next seven generations.
 | The Eight Shields Institute continues this process of cultural research and testing of elements of passive and active educational models from a wide variety of community settings including indigenous cultures, music and performing arts, martial arts and various athletic activities. The goal for the organization is to train mentors and coaches who specialize in these unique tools for facilitating powerful growth, creativity, problem-solving skills, awareness and ultimately individual genius from participation in these multidimensional educational matrices. |
